At this time of year, the rest of life often keeps me away from 'arting'. One such thing has been celebrating the amazing achievements of my eldest son who made year 12 Dux. I don't usually use my Art page to gush about the two amazing humans I birthed, but I just can't help myself as this is so fantastic for him!!!

Gorgeous day at the opening of 'Anything Goes' exhibition. I have 3 pieces in, including this one - Corindi Boardwalk. Open until the end of December, a great opportunity to pop in if you're headed down the peninsula during the holiday break.

Memory Lane is my second piece accepted into the Albert Park College Art Show this year. The Beatles song The Long and Winding Road was the inspiration for this one. As a kid, I would sit with headphones plugged into the Hifi system listening to my parent's Beatles records over and over. Probably why I connected so strongly with Britpop when I discovered it in the early 90s.

This weekend 10-3 Sat-Sun at SECAN studios, Gate 6 Cardinia St Berwick as part of Casey Open Studios. I'm a bit worried I might lose my voice, thanks to a virus I've been battling this week, so I'm trying to rest as much as possible (as much as I can when I still have 35 uni assignments left to mark!)
Hopefully we'll get to see lots of familiar and new faces at the studio this weekend!

Across the Lagoon is one of four artworks I have had accepted into this year's Noble Park Art Show, opening this Friday and running across the weekend. This one is based on a photo I took looking across the atoll at Lady Musgrave Island on the Southern Great Barrier Reef.
