My beautiful Book Boutique family...
Two years ago I lived my dream and bought a beautiful bookshop. It has been the most wonderful experience of my life. It's also been a huge learning experience. In fact I struggle everyday to be a business person rather than a friend. I am soft lol, but that is who I am.
The Book Boutique has changed so much in the last two years, and I'm proud of the space that it has become.
The Book Boutique is so much more than a second hand bookstore. It's a safe place, a comforting big hug, for everyone who walks through the door. It's a community, and a much needed one.
I need your help to keep the doors open, I was hoping to run a raffle, but red tape didn't allow it. The giveaway is not generating the money i need to keep the doors open, and books are just not selling.
I have therefore created a go fund me for the bookshop, to generate funds to catch up on the bills that just continue to pile up.
It has taken me months to build up the courage to do it. Imagine having to admit to family, friends and customers that I suck as a business woman.
If you can find it in your heart to help, I will be forever grateful.
Where to from here? Well there will be a restructure of the shop, to hopefully find a business model that I can succeed with, and that is true to the shop.Hopefully if I can clear the debt, we can move forward and continue to nurture and continue to create the beautiful community hub that is The Book Boutique Bundaberg .
