Southern Area Community Bands

Southern Area Community Bands We're a community music organization comprising of the Southern Area Wind Band, Southern Area Concert Band and Southern Stars Big Band. Doors open at 7PM

Musicians play brass, woodwind and percussion, and we are based in Moorabin, Victoria, Australia. The Southern Area Concert Band is a 50-piece concert band comprising of woodwind, brass and percussion. This ensemble is a competing band and has won many awards over its 40+ year history. Currently under the baton of Dr Andrew Mathers, the concert band provides music for a variety of community events

each year including public outdoor performances, private performances and community events. Rehearsals are 7:30PM-9:00PM every Monday.
