Our Play It Forward ‘Movie Magic’ massed choir is open to everyone who mightn’t sing with our regularly weekly choirs - in addition to those who do!

There are just 3 weekend rehearsals and also provide the music and rehearsal tracks for you to practise to at home - then sing with our fabulous Play It Forward choirs on Sun Sept 20 @ Collingwood Town Hall…

We’ll be singing fabulous arrangements from the classic golden movies like Westside Story, Fame, Puttin’ On the Ritz, The Greatest Showman & Casablanca!

WE RAZZLE DAZZLED LAUNCESTON!

We had the most wonderful time joining other Play It Forward members from Victoria and Queensland and singers from Launceston over the weekend to give a spectacular concert to a packed audience of 500 people at the Grand Chancellor conference centre yesterday!

We are so grateful to our artistic director -
Jonathon Welch AM who the led the 120 voiced massed choir with special guests CJ (Christopher Jones), Millie O’Sign and Vox Harmony Choir with Music Director Denise Sam.

Thank you everyone who helped make this special project happen including our fabulous accompanists - Sue Goessling, Adam Przewlocki and Shane Calderbank along with Matthew Jones, project manager and everyone at Vox Harmony.

We can’t wait to return and share the joy of singing together with you again soon!

WE’RE COMING TO LAUNCESTON MAY 31!

Some of our members are joining 60 of our fabulous Play It Forward singers and our wonderful friends - VOX HARMONY choir and other local singers in Launceston on Sun May 31 at the magnificent Grand Chancellor conference centre at 2pm for an afternoon of magical music theatre hits!

We’ll dazzle you with the big numbers from Chicago to Rent, Grease, Oliver, Les Mis, Boy From Oz, Strictly Ballroom, Sweet Charity, the Greatest Showman & more!

WITH SPECIAL GUEST…CJ FROM ABC’S ‘THE PIANO’…..

Fresh from his incredible TV debut, local Launceston superstar Christopher ‘CJ’ Jones will be joining us to perform a piano solo and adding even more dazzle to this concert brimming with joy!

WE DID IT - WE CREATED MUSIC HISTORY!

We were so proud to join 200 of our fabulous PLAY IT FORWARD choir family from Melbourne, Brisbane and the Redlands at the Sydney Myer Music Bowl last Friday March 12, 2026 alongside John Farnham’s legedary band and backing singers and other legends of the Australian music industry including Jack Jones, Em Rusciano, Taylor Moss, Rachael Bostock (violinist) and Choir of Hard Knocks creating the World Record for The Australian Book of Records (TABOR) - 4,370 people singing ‘You’re The Voice’ and raising over $45,000 for Head and Neck Cancer Australia.

We can’t thank John & Helen Taylor (TABOR) Gaynor Wheatley, music director extraordinaire Chong Long and John & Jill Farnham enough for the honour of being able to participate in this history making event and being able to sing back to the legend - the voice - John Peter Farnham!

WE SANG IT LOUD & SANG IT CLEAR!

Our participation also couldn’t have happened without a huge Play It Forward team effort and we want to thank everyone that supported us before and during the event, including:

Matthew Jones, Sarah Waight, Michelle Fidler, JJ, our Play It Forward board - Patrick Burns, Tineke Westwood, Merilyn Williams, Viv Walker, Caroline Knaggs, Tracey Blacka and Sally Piracha along with Adam Przewlocki for conducting us at the concert, and of course to our very own artistic director - Jonathon Welch AM, for his extraordinary vision and including us all.

TEAM WORK MADE OUR DREAM WORK

They all helped us to bring our A GAME so that we could all shine up there with the best of the best!

This memory will live in our hearts forever and it goes to prove that….
