Winter in Tasmania has a way of making everything feel smaller especially the list of reasons to leave the house.

So we made you a reason

There's a stone-painting corner in the gallery now. Come in from the cold, pick a stone, paint it. No skill required (the whole point is that there isn't a point). Slow, quiet, a little bit grounding. Which is exactly what this time of year asks for and gives you the permission to do.

When you're done, leave your stone in the tiny garden out front. It's growing one painted rock at a time. Or take it home, a small thing to hold onto when the feelings slip back in.

Winter gets fairly lonely, and this is one way to hold on to something reminding us of connection

June only. Come slow down with us and paint some rocks πŸͺ¨

SOLD. The red dot is on Silent Chaos. πŸ”΄
I had to actually run to this. Because it wasn't just a sale.
This painting was made in the middle of grief. The feelings that sits on your chest, changing the way you see everything. I put my feelings on calico instead of trying to find the words that weren't there. This work is about all that silent chaos that comes with grief.
I was sent a message about 5 minutes after this sale that I had to share with you.
They said how thrilled they were to have one of my pieces during such a transformational part of my own life, because they're about to transform their lives too.
One painting. Two very different lives, both in the middle of something.
That's what I mean when I say the story sells. Not a technique. Not a style. The truth underneath it. When you make something honest, it finds the person who needs it. Every time.
Silent Chaos is going to a new home in August which feels so right.

If there's a painting on these walls that's been looking back at you and you cant stop thinking about it, there is a reason for that πŸ’™

In my personal opinion this is better than all the other things you could do in the rain

29/05/2026

suddenly I decided I wasn't going to apologise for slowing down.

I even went a step further and gave myself PERMISSION to.

offseason doesn't ask for you to slow yourself, it gives you the permission and thats more important than having the space πŸ’™

I have been working through some heavy feelings about the direction if this space. And it is just so nice to go back and share what I started to set out to do.

Blue Tree Gallery was never just about the art (or the coffee) or the shipping container in the middle of the ferns in the middle of no where in our little island of Tasmania, it was about creating the space and comfort to not just slow down while we are travelling but create a community where many can come and be without the expectation to be anywhere or anyone else.

I use my story and art practice to advocate for mental health to share vulnerability and take up space showing you that you too can take up the space you need. And be in it for as long as you need πŸ’™

Follow along to see where we go what adventures we are exploring and how this tiny space can make a big impact 🫢🫢
