My encaustic paintings capture the quiet, suspended moments along the Murray River when fog softens the world into muted silhouettes.
Using layered beeswax and paint, I explore the way trees emerge and dissolve in mist, creating a landscape that feels both intimate and elusive.
These works invite viewers to slow down, breathe with the river, and experience the gentle mystery held within its shifting light.

The river remembers in soft light. Encaustic.
Where water holds the ghosts of trees. Encaustic.
Whispers through the fog. Encaustic.
Mist carried by the river’s breath. Encaustic.

In a garden alive with wings and laughter, I gather what the land
offers, fallen branches that become charcoal, eucalyptus leaves that
steep into ink, and sunlight that warms my encaustic wax. Magpies watch with bright curiosity, the kookaburra chuckles from his favourite perch and butterflies drift and shimmer. Each small painting becomes a quiet collaboration between myself and the place I inhabit.
