📣 Calling all young performers...this is your time to shine 🌟
Cassowary Coast Talent Quest returns this July, giving local kids and teens a chance to showcase their talents, build confidence and compete for more than $3,500 in prizes.
Auditions begin 25 July, with the Grand Final on August 2.

Here are a few FAQs...
🎭 what are the categories to enter? 3 categories based on age... 5-9yrs (Juniors), 10-13yrs (TWEENS), 14-18yrs (SENIORS). Must be that age as of 25th July... if you are still 18yrs old on 25th July 2026, you may enter
🎶 how many auditions can I do? Maximum 2 per person... you will be considered for BOTH acts so try and show the judges how talented you are in different genres. Eg. Dance with a group AND dance solo or sing in a group or recite a spoken word performance.
🎺 what are the rules for entry? Must live in Cassowary Coast region, be aged under 18yrs, pay $5 audition fee and be available on 25th July and 2nd August 2026
🪄 can I perform with other people? YES but they must be under 18yrs.
🤹♂️ what kind of act can I do? Anything that does not have swearing, inappropriate themes or language, weapons or dangerous tools. Fire twirling, whip cracking, gymnastics and magic are most welcome
💃 what if I'm not good enough and already feel very nervous? Well, this is the PERFECT opportunity for you to TRY your talents... all of our judges are kind and compassionate and remember very clearly how daunting performing can be when first starting out. I promise you will NOT regret TRYING.
👯♀️ can we film the auditions or acts? We will NOT have a professional video/photographer. However, ask that you do NOT film or take photos of people who are not related to you. Strictly no videos of all DANCE acts both in auditions and grand final performances. Photos will be taken for social media exposure.
🏆 what can I win? Each age category has 1st= $500 cash & trophy, 2nd $300 cash & trophy, 3rd $200 cash & trophy. PLUS all 4 judges have their own Special Judge's Award across ALL ages and performers= $100 cash & trophy. PLUS there is a People's Choice Award voted on the grand final by the audience= $100 cash & trophy.
🤸♂️ what dates do I need to know? 11th July END OF AUDITION APPLICATIONS, 25th July AUDITIONS start 10am, 2nd AUG GRAND FINAL starts 2pm. Auditions and Grand Final are at Tully State High School's MPC
