KidsFest@Artfest workshop - Make a Macrame Wall Hanging - Sunday 24th September - Milton Public School. Time: 12.30pm - 2pm. Cost $10. Suitable for ages 8-13.

In this workshop kids will learn the basics of macrame, and make a beautiful small wall hanging to take home. From these few macrame skills, children will be able to explore their creativity through knotting yarn.

KidsFest@Artfest - Rubber Band Race Car Workshop - Sunday 24th September - 12.30pm - 1.30pm, Milton Public School. Cost $5

Make a cool rubber band race car and challenge your friends to a "race" at the end of the workshop. This experience requires some skill and concentration and younger children will need parental assistance to use a drill.

KidsFest@ArtFest - Vocal Workshop with Rachel Tidbury. Sunday 24th September - 11.30am - 12.30pm. Milton Public School. Cost $10

Join 17 year old vocalist and musician Rachel where participants will learn some vocal techniques and perform a song for their families at the end of the workshop. Rachel will show you some easy vocal warm-ups and training tips. Parents are invited back for the last 10 minutes of the workshop to see the kids perform!

KidsFest@ArtFest - Hip Hop/Jazz Dance Workshop with Ash Howes. Sunday 24th September - 10am - 11.30am. Milton Public School. Cost $15

Explore the concept of this year's theme "Spark". Learn skills and techniques uses in dancing such as timing, spacing and rhythm. The kids will put all their learned skills together to perform a choreographed piece for their family at the end of the session. Families are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes before the end of the session to see the performance.

About Ash Howes: Ash has been dancing since the age of 3, training in classical ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary and highland dancing. She has been involved with Southern Stars and is also a gymnastics and acrobatic coach. Currently she is actively involved in the upcoming Milton Follies production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoast as Assistant Choregrapher.
