100 years of safety for Qantas, and the biggest creative undertaking yet for all involved!

Lots of detail went into the authenticity for this one: era-specific writing/arranging, rare vintage mics and instruments for the 30s & 40s, emulation of Phil Spector's 60s recording techniques, some dusty 80s synths from Bruce’s garage... we even sourced specific antique aircraft engines for the sound design. Add all that to performances by some of Australia’s most formidable instrumentalists & vocalists and you’ve got a beautiful monster of a track.

Big thanks to Qantas, Brand+Story, Positive Ape, and White Chocolate for the huge efforts in bringing it to life, and always grateful for the talents of Ian Cooper - Violinist, Ian Date, James Morrison, Peter Northcote, Virna Sanzone, Nick Begbie and the Australian Girls Choir.

Cochlear’s ‘Does Love Last Forever?’ project has had a haul of 2 gold, 1 silver and 7 bronze Clios overnight, with sound design taking out 1 gold and 2 bronze in three separate categories.

Sincerest congrats go to Brian, Ben, Pete and the rest of the team… An incredible idea and a huge undertaking on everyone’s part, and we’re proud they chose Kath to help bring it to life. Time for a few celebration drinks!
