Today marks 3 years that Mildura Rural City Council have been in charge of Tourism.
They have spent in excess of $10million in that time
No strategy or direction, formal or otherwise in that time
There is, however, a new strategy out now for comment (link in the comments) that will guide us all through to 2031
Within that new strategy there is
-No mention of Tropical North Victoria moving forward
-No mention of Shane Jacobson or a brand ambassador
-No mention of addressing business rates of 140%
The top FOUR executive management in charge of tourism have a combined salary in excess of $1 million dollars per year
Between all four of them, they have
No Experience in running a tourism operation.
No experience is working in the tourism sector
No qualifications in tourism or anything similar
No qualifications or experience in marketing
No qualifications or experience in running events
No experience in running their own business
No experience of qualifications in project management
No accountability for results
