PETER COAD & THE COAD SISTERS
The 1st part of the show kicks off with PETER COAD (OAM) (Golden Guitar Awards Of Australia 2021 nominee) on rhythm guitar and vocals performing a strong selection of Australian Bush Ballads, intertwined with a great selection of classic Aussie ballads, yodelling and classic country from the COAD SISTERS on lead and bass guitar, along with Jim Hermel on drums.
With many albums, and songwriter accolades behind them, PETER COAD & THE COAD SISTERS not only include songs from their many albums, but also Australiana audience participation singalongs such as ‘Waltzing Matilda’ etc.
PETER COAD & THE COAD SISTERS have been touring together for over 30 years as a trio.
Performances include major Australian Country Music events, and venues from the Birdsville Races to the Sydney Opera House.

RUNAWAY DIXIE
The 2nd part of the show features 4 times Golden Guitar Awards Of Australia nominated trio RUNAWAY DIXIE (Jim Hermel (bluegrass banjo), VIRGINIA HERMEL (acoustic rhythm/lead guitar) & LYNETTE COAD (bass guitar).
With dynamic Bluegrass originals and classics, delivered with three-part harmonies RUNAWAY DIXIE take the show to a whole new level of musical diversity.
The trio then switch with Jim on electric lead, Lynette on drums, and Virginia on bass, to deliver a variety of vibrant classic and original country from their 6 albums.
The RUNAWAY DIXIE trio represented Australia at the Mississippi Bi-centennial Celebrations, Meridian USA, in conjunction with the Jimmie Rogers Festival 2017.

THE JIM HERMEL BAND
The 3rd part of the show features the JIM HERMEL BAND.
The JIM HERMEL BAND features JIM HERMEL on lead guitar, LYNETTE COAD on drums, and VIRGINIA HERMEL on bass guitar.
The band delivers goodtime rock 'n' roll music that everyone knows and loves to sing and dance along to.
The JIM HERMEL BAND section features a change with VIRGINIA HERMEL taking lead guitar/vocal role and her sister LYNETTE COAD to bass, and JIM HERMEL on drums, with Virginia presenting a range of popular upbeat music followed another change back to Jim on lead guitar and lead vocals again to complete the show.
JIM HERMEL was inducted into the South Australian Music Hall Of Fame in 2021 in respect of his work in the Australian Music industry over 50 years, touring Australia and internationally.

PETER COAD (OAM) not only performs in the 1st part of the show he also comperes the show, throwing some bush verse in between each band change for a nonstop (unless otherwise advised) show.

Peter Coad & The Coad Sisters, Runaway Dixie & The Jim Hermel Band will be performing a 3 hour spectacular at the Apex RiverBeach Holiday Park on Monday 28th September. We sure can’t wait to hear this fabulous new Album from the wonderful John O’Dea - we hope he’s bringing heaps with him because we are all going to want one!! . Awesome to see that Stuie French has produced a couple of the tracks in Nashville. We are certainly looking forward to John performing for us this year at our Festival. 🎶🎶.

Today we are very excited to introduce our next Guest Artist the fabulous CONNIE KIS ANDERSEN to the Apex RiverBeach Country Music Festival.
We are thrilled that Connie who hails all the way from Western Australia is making the long trek to Mildura to perform for us at the Apex RiverBeach Holiday Park. Multi award winner Connie is a brilliant singer/songwriter with a deep passion for music, people and personal growth.
Connie has performed for years in Mildura but this is the first time she has performed for us at our Festival.
Welcome to our Festival Connie - we hope you enjoy our Festival as much as we will enjoy having you perform for us.

BIO - Connie Kis ANDERSEN
Talent, hard work, perseverance, and passion have led to Connie Kis Andersen enjoying a reputation as one of Western Australia’s finest independent singer-songwriter artists.

She has previously released six albums with many of her self-penned songs out to radio enjoying chart success - both in Australia and the US. Now, her brand new album REFLECTIONS is here, making it a total of seven.

Just some of her honors include being awarded the Best Independent Female Country Artist for Western Australia three times, Best Independent Country Music Album for Western Australia twice, a national TIARA award for Female Vocalist and four Gold Medallion Media Awards for the South-Central West regions of Australia.

In January 2024 Connie Kis received the Tex Morton Award for Contribution to Country Music in Australia from the Tamworth Songwriters' Association and in 2021, a Dusty Boots Award for Services to the Country Music Industry in Australia. Both achieved for her dedication and commitment to producing and hosting the ever-popular, globally syndicated radio show called Showcase Australia a program which promoted new Australian country music to the world for just over thirteen years between September 2011 and Dec 2024.

And, recently in January 2025, she was inducted into the Australian Country Music Broadcasters Hall of Fame for her work in radio.

During her career, Connie Kis has performed at many high-profile Australian festivals and Nashville TN venues – including Sounds Australia, (Americana Fest), The Bluebird Cafe, CMA Fan Fest to name a few, and has enjoyed regular guest appearances on Nashville Cowboy Church when in the US.

As well, she has served her industry with dedication over the years, having previously held positions on the board of West Australian Government Arts funding bodies, and holding past positions as President of WAM (West Australian Music Industry Association) and Acting C.E.O. of Multi-cultural Arts, when it was in operation.

Connie Kis ANDERSEN is a lifetime member of the CMA and a long-term member of the Grammy Organisation, NARAS (20+ years), and in 2024 her hit song; ‘Hurt’ made the first round of voting for a GRAMMY.

In Australia, she is a member of CMAA, APRA, TSA and in the USA, a publisher member of ASCAP. As a musician/artist, Connie Kis is endorsed by renowned Australian guitar makers, Cole Clark Guitars.

Defying industry paradigms, she has achieved all this as a mature aged performer entering into the music industry as a recording artist after a long and successful career in teaching children with disabilities.

And so, Connie Kis reveals her deep belief in self and purpose, through all that she does - she is a true music stylist with a passion for music, people, and personal growth.
