Melville Open Studios 2026 Wrap-Up
Our annualย ๐ ๐ฒ๐น๐๐ถ๐น๐น๐ฒ ๐ข๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ป ๐ฆ๐๐๐ฑ๐ถ๐ผ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ, held over the weekend ofย ๐ฎโ๐ฏ ๐ ๐ฎ๐, was a huge success!
This yearโs event featuredย ๐ณ๐ณ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ด๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ผ๐น๐ผ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ด๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ฝ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐๐๐, with some groups representingย more than 100 members. Visitors explored creativity acrossย ๐ฎ๐ด ๐ต๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐ฑ๐ถ๐ผ๐, ๐ด๐ฎ๐น๐น๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐ต๐๐ฏ ๐น๐ผ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ย throughout the City of Melville, with many taking advantage of ourย six guided bus tour routesย to discover artists and venues across the municipality.
The community response was outstanding, with more thanย ๐ฒ,๐ฏ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐๐ย recorded across all locations and participating artists reporting overย $๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฒ,๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ฎ๐น๐ฒ๐. The benefits of the event have continued well beyond the weekend, with artists receivingย additional sales, commissions, workshop bookings, and exciting professional opportunities, includingย gallery and art space representationย andย Artist-in-Residence (AIR) offers. These outcomes highlight the significant and lasting impact that Melville Open Studios has on supporting artists' careers, creative practice, and connections within the wider community.
