The one who made me a mother.

You are fierce, determined, clever, sporty, sensitive, funny, loyal, strong-willed, bossy in the best way, cuddly when you want to be and completely, perfectly Penelope.

Being the oldest is a big job.
You were the first baby.
The first little girl.
The first big sister.
The first one to teach me that motherhood is all about hanging on for dear life and pretending you know what you’re doing 😂

And because your mother clearly lost her mind and decided to have all three children’s birthdays within days of each other, you are officially the grand finale of birthday week.
The final boss.
The closing ceremony.

🌸🌈💕✨ HAPPY BIRTHDAY FLORENCE ✨💕🌈🌸Florence, you take after my mum in the most beautiful way. You are the sweetest, most delicate little soul, and I truly believe some children are simply born with a caring heart like yours.

The way you look after Edward like he’s your own little baby melts me every time. When he hurts himself and asks for Florence, you’re always there with a cuddle. You are forever helping, sharing, and thinking of everyone around you.

You are so smart and so determined, and I love how your days at home go from dancing and singing, to playing teachers, to helping me, to quietly getting yourself ready in the mornings and making your bed without anyone asking. You just get on with whatever the day brings with the calmest little spirit.

You and your big sister have something so special too. One of the things people comment on most is how beautifully you play together and how lucky we are to have a big (little) sister like you in our family.

You also somehow know how to bring everyone together and make things feel fun and cool just by being yourself. It’s such a special quality.

When you were created, they wrapped every beautiful quality into one little girl… and my goodness am I grateful that I get to call you my daughter.

Florence, you truly are an angel on this earth, and we are so, so lucky to have you.
