Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley is buzzing with artists, managers, labels, agents, promoters, venues and music industry professionals from across Australia.

Revive Live Round 3 (Office for the Arts) is now open for 2026–27. Venues and smaller festivals can apply for up to $150k. Festivals drawing more than 10,000 people can apply for up to $250k.

The part worth being clear about: this round funds venues and festival organisers, not artists. Individual musicians can’t apply, so if you play the room rather than run it, the useful move is sending this to the person who does.

To be eligible you need to be majority Australian owned, have hosting live original music as your primary purpose, and show three years of track record. Applications close 11.30pm AEST on Friday 28 August, and funded projects start from 1 December.

Three weeks isn’t long to evidence three years. If you’re weighing it up, the eligibility test is worth resolving first, before you spend a weekend on a budget you may not need.

Inconsistent leads are not bad luck. They're the result of not having a system that feeds into itself.

The difference between a B2B business that grows predictably and one that relies on referrals and hope is usually a well-built lead generation engine — paid acquisition, content, nurture sequences, CRM, lead scoring, and revenue operations working together. The biggest outcomes we see come from a close relationship between sales and marketing working together.

The sooner we can get information on lead quality the more dynamic the input is into the marketing channel. Be quick to qualify and create a feedback loop.

If your brand name is not registered as a trademark, someone else can legally use it. In some cases, they can file a trademark first and prevent you from using the name you built.

Trademark registration in Australia is not as complicated as most business owners assume. The application is filed with IP Australia, costs $330 per class online, and once registered, gives you exclusive rights to use that mark in Australia for 10 years.

The process takes time — typically 7 to 13 months from application to registration — which is exactly why early action matters. The earlier you file, the earlier your priority date is established.
