The Karralyka festival begins today with the fabulous Ringwood Spiegeltent Gala Night kicking things off and The Wam Bams couldn’t be more excited to performing tonight. What an honour!

So why don’t you come on down and see The Wam Bams - (Laydee Bombay & Dolores Daiquiri) represent as they tear up the stage with their unique brand of ‘car-crash’ burlesque along with a bevy of other amazing acts.

Introducing the second of our Wam Bams - Laydee Bombay.

You never quite know what you’re in for when this gin-loving gal takes the stage! With a love for all genres of Burlesque and in particular Neo and Comedic, Laydee Bombay delights in having her audience members in fits of laughter while fully immersed in her world of silliness. With great affection for the ridiculous, whacky and gorgeously tacky, her performances gravitate towards comic characters, clever storytelling and “I can’t believe she just did that” moments!

Performance highlights have seen Laydee Bombay take the stage in Melbourne at The 86 (“La Petite Scandal”), Speakeasy HQ (“Burlesque Nation”),The Wesley Anne (Moulin Beige), The Butterfly Club (Cheese Girls & Friends), Burlesque Showboat (Mad Hatters Tea Party ), The Shoppe of Curiosities (End of Year Extravaganza), Power Pu***es (Burlesque, Cabaret & Circus!) The Burlesque Underground (My Bloody Valentine), Gloriana Burlesque (Hastings' First Burlesque Night!) and her Australian Burlesque Festival debut in the 2016 ‘Baby Bombshells competition.

Laydee has also performed interstate at Ginger’s in Sydney (Childhood Dreams and Fairy tale Queens), Canberra’s Polit Bar (Childhood Dreams and Fairy tale Queens), Hobart’s Grand Poobah where she was awarded the title, Burlesque Idol – Hobart 2016 and the The Abbey in Canberra where she was presented with the 2016 Burlesque Idol Finale"Best Comedic" award for her act, "The Good Housewife".

Whether it be sweet or sassy, soft and melancholy, or utterly and hilariously ridiculous – this fierce and flirty feline is sure to keep you entertained and leave you with a smile on your lips and a twinkle in your eye…

Introducing the first of our Wam Bams - Dolores Daiquiri!

Dolores Daiquiri began her career at the forefront of the Burlesque ‘explosion’ over fifteen years ago and is considered a pioneer of the revival of burlesque in Australia.

Starting her journey as a founding member of Australia’s longest serving burlesque troupe and then as a soloist in 2009, Dolores continues to perform and star in a vast array of showcases in Australia and internationally which encompasses local & corporate events, private shows and media launches.

As a producer/director, she has launched and produced many exciting and hugely successful events including ‘The Australian Burlesque Festival’ which tours nationally every year to sold out audiences and ‘Bubble Glamour Productions’ launched in early 2017 both of which combine her performance, production and event management experience to deliver ‘Boutique Entertainment’ shows and sold out events across Australia and abroad.
