The End of an online era...
After switching off their infamous forums quite some time ago, Junkee Media announced today the end of/rebranding of inthemix henceforth known as Music Junkee.
Older than our firstborn, inthemix came along at a time when the only Oz based electronic music specific sites - SPRACI and raves.com.au , were simplistic unmoderated forums and event listings. At a time when they were still having to teach advertisers how to use the internet, inthemix provided comprehensive event info, moderated forums as well as noteworthy electronic music journalism ensuring we here in Australia were up to speed with the latest and spurring on our evolving industry nationwide.
The infamous forums were often the catalyst for public debate on local news and in the pre-facebook era, were the online 'news feed' of that era. Sadly the forums were killed off sometime ago, and today's announcement finds the trove of articles documenting our local electronic music history deleted from the archives.

For two decades, inthemix was the voice of Australian dance music. This is its story.
