In these trying times the Comedy Festival has thoughtfully set up donation links to allow support towards comedians who are struggling due to show cancellations. We are not alone in this, and recognise that the arts community, and many other industries are suffering deeply.

If you are in a position to do so, please consider clicking the link to donate towards 'You Know That Café' or any other shows you were keen to see in the festival. This helps artists to lessen the loss of cancelling shows and increases the likelihood of these shows seeing the light of day when we emerge from this pandemic.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
Stay safe, stay healthy, stay home!

A new café opens up during Melbourne International Comedy Festival, but the waiters, barista and chef are all comedians with next to no hospitality experience. What could possibly go wrong? Well you'll soon discover for yourself if you let us find you a table. Grab a bite...

You have likely heard of the cancellation of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2020 following government advice about non-essential mass gatherings. While disappointed, we do understand and agree this is the safest option given the situation with COVID-19. Consequently our production 'You Know That Café' will not go forward this March / April.

Although we are unable to make specific plans given the ongoing pandemic, we do intend to get the show up in the future. We hope you will join us for a laugh or two when the day to open our café doors eventually arrives ☕️🍳🍽

These are difficult times for everyone, and the arts community are definitely feeling the emotional and financial loss of cancelling live events. If you are interested in donating towards 'You Know That Café' to help us lessen that loss, you are currently able to do so through the festival website https://www.comedyfestival.com.au/2020/shows/cafe #

Thank you for your ongoing support!
Do look after yourselves and those around you,

Lucy & Nicola,
on behalf of the 'You Know That Café' team

'How To Be A Good Person' is a comedic two person theatre piece, combining dialogue with acrobalance, tumbling, dance and maybe even a song or two, to explore the ways young people attempt to navigate political, social and existential ethics to ultimately lead morally-conscious lives.
