A Pathway to Jobs in Live Music: The Weasle Eicke Scholarship 2023
Once again, this CrewCare initiative will be delivered in partnership with Creative Victoria and supported by Australia's leading production providers and tertiary educators by facilitating training and job opportunities.

The program is intended to provide a fast-tracked pathway for:
- Tertiary students undertaking live production courses, and
- Unskilled workers from both regional and metro areas, who are active within the live music industry.

This is an equal opportunity program that is designed to encourage and provide opportunities for a diverse range of people. The aim is to elevate these students and workers to fill existing job vacancies with leading production suppliers.

Please note: This training is only available to Victorian residents over the age of 18.

Showtech Australia have proudly provided our rigging, staging and technical support for all production departments for over 30 years to this great institution of Carols By Candlelight at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl.
It was fabulous to see and hear the audience and talent enjoying themselves and all the crew back in their stride in their "natural habitats"
Moments like these we savour as we come to the end of a tumultuous couple of years for the entire industry and proud of what we, our Showtech Crew, our Showtech Team have achieved and look forward to continuing through into the New Year, 2022 and beyond with the passion we have for our industry and the important role our industry and its people play in creating such moments.

We just wanted to update you on a part of how Showtech has been assisting in providing our services for bushfire relief over the past couple of months.

We're not looking for accolades but moreso informing you of a great humanitarian aid agency Operation Angel they do not take funds, is totally volunteer based and provide humanitarian aid that is directly requested and delivered by hand with a representative to its destination.

Showtech has been a supporter of for over a decade. In this campaign Operation Angel has teamed together to provide humanitarian care packs for firefighters, first responder, emergency services personnel and volunteers on the frontline at the staging grounds around victoria, and Kangaroo Island and heading into NSW.

To date Operation Angel and their team of volunteers and supporters ( corporate, community and individuals) have achieved over 21,000 individual packs. ( all individually collated and hand packed each with a personalised letter or drawing of thanks from a child or adult)

Showtech has supported the cause and in turn our valued firefighters and emergency services personnel by providing administration, logistics, production management, trucks and transportation and crew.

This included travelling through the fire stricken towns to each drop off destination, quite a humbling and emotional experience for all. Meeting the extraordinary men and women and volunteers on the ground fighting, protecting and working on rebuilding our country and towns, through such devastation.

We know that unfortunately this year's fire season in far from over and the recovery and rebuilding of communities will take years.
Showtech and our team are proud to play just a small part.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who have lost their homes, businesses, animals, livestock and especially to those whom have lost their lives and to their families.

When you get tasked with one of the biggest songs Earth Song by Michael Jackson from his History Tour, the team at turned to Tiny Good and to provide the automation for this massive floating platform teetering on a boulder.
Combined with the amazing lighting, vision by TD Ian Anderson and performance by Zeek and Kelly, this was TRULY EPIC!!

When your travelling on a teetering platform that is see-sawing over 3m off the ground, running at 10mpm with water and flame, we thank the team and talent for putting their trust in
to deliver the safest possible system.

What an EPIC installation!! For the wedding of Sonia and Ante.

Showtech Australia - Showtech Rigging - Showtech Automation we're proud to work such a great team of professionals including Melbourne's premier event venue and our friends Atlantic Group Peninsula, Shed 14 Central Pier, 161 Harbour Esplanade, Docklandsand Austage Events along with Pro Light & Sound
Hours of work and calculations went into this decorative installation weighing over 1tonne
For our international followers this stunning venue is set on a pier over water, so many and various calculations come into play, along with production, other scenic rigging and floor loadings.
Congratulations to our rigging and tech team Tiny, David, Zara, Tania, Mac, Stormy.
It certainly took a village of industry professionals to create a dream wedding for the special Bride and Groom and their guests.
