It’s been lovely being home and spending the weekend catching up with family… and, of course, catching up on the mountain of washing that comes with being away! 😂

But amongst all of that, I did manage to squeeze in a little creative time and finish embellishing the Glasses Case that I started before beginning my journey home.

It felt so good to sit and stitch again and even better to finally finish this one!

And yes… I can finally say that our Glasses Cases will be available to purchase very soon! 🎉👓

I know, I know… they’ve been a long time coming 😂 but I really do think they’ll be worth the wait! I’m already dreaming up all the different ways we can embellish them. 💕

Oh and this one was embellished with some gorgeous Indian prints I purchased from jenny_bee_quilts

A little stitching while I wait for my flight home… ✈️🧵💕

What an absolutely fabulous few weeks it has been! I’ve travelled plenty of miles, taught some wonderful classes, shared lots of Make & Take sessions and, best of all, met so many truly lovely people along the way.

I’ve loved seeing everyone’s creativity come to life, the colour choices, the stitching, the embellishing and all those little individual touches that make every project completely unique. It really is one of my favourite parts of what I do. 💗

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to a class, joined me for a Make & Take, stopped by for a chat or simply came to say hello. You’ve all helped make this trip such a memorable one.

But for now… one last little bit of stitching at the airport before it’s time to board that flight and head HOME to Melbourne! 🇦🇺✈️

I have a feeling there might be quite a few new ideas coming home with me too… 😉🧵

Looking back through all these photos has reminded me just how much I enjoyed these sessions. So many fabulous colour combinations, lots of stitching, plenty of chatting and, most importantly, so many lovely ladies around the table.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined me for a Make & Take, stopped by to say hello or came to see what we were creating. I really do love meeting you all and sharing a little creative time together. 💕

I may be a little behind with my posting… whoops! 😂 But I have far too many lovely Make & Take photos from AQS QuiltWeek in Grand Rapids not to share them! 💕🧵

So here comes Part 1 of even more Make & Take fun!

Once again, I loved seeing everyone’s colour choices and watching each Glasses Case start to take on its own personality as we stitched our circles. It never ceases to amaze me how different they can all look, even though we’re starting with the same project.

And, as always, one of the very best parts was getting to sit, stitch, chat and meet so many lovely ladies along the way. 🪡

Yesterday’s Make & Take in the WonderFil booth was all about circles, colour and stitching! 🧵⭕️✨

We started stitching colourful circles onto our Aster & Anne Glasses Cases, and everyone did such a fabulous job getting their designs underway.

And, once again, the colour choices were top notch! 😍 I just love seeing how everyone chooses completely different combinations of felt, circles and threads, the same project, but each one already looking completely unique!

There’s still plenty more stitching and embellishing to come, but everyone was well on their way to creating their own one of a kind Glasses Case.

Thank you to everyone who came along and joined me, it was so much fun seeing all those colourful creations taking shape.

And the best part… we get to do it all again today! 🙌🧵✨

All set up and ready to go at AQS QuiltWeek in Grand Rapids!

It’s always such a good feeling when the booth finally comes together and I can stand back and see everything in place! We have lots of Aster & Anne kits on display, plenty of embellishment inspiration, gorgeous threads and, of course, lots of colour and creativity. 💕

I’ve brought along lots of samples too, so if you’re here at QuiltWeek, make sure you stop by, have a closer look and say hello. I absolutely love chatting about all the different ways you can take one of our felt kits and make it completely your own.

After all the travelling, teaching and creating over the past few weeks, I’m excited to be here in Grand Rapids and ready for another few days surrounded by quilts, stitching and wonderfully creative people!

And then came the embellishing! 🧵✂️✨

Once our felt pieces were stencilled, it was time to start adding all those extra layers of colour, texture and detail that I love so much!

Fabrics, threads, trims and plenty of creative ideas came out, and once again I loved seeing how everyone took the same starting point and made it completely their own. 💕

There were so many fabulous colour combinations and different ideas happening around the tables, this is always one of my favourite parts of teaching. There really are no two pieces ever the same!

Here are some pics of the embellishing in action and the wonderful pieces taking shape. Some were further along than others, but they were all looking fabulous! 😍

Yesterday’s class at Artistic Artifacts started with one of my favourite things… stencilling! ✨🎨

Once again, we began by stencilling our felt pieces before moving on to adding all those lovely embellishments.

Our new Aster & Anne stencils were put to work, along with some wood blocks, and I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of seeing how completely different everyone’s pieces look! 💕 Different stencil designs, different colour combinations and different ways of layering and placing the patterns, each one becomes totally unique. Artistic Artifacts fluid textile paint was mixed to create new colours and Chris tried out some Stencil Butter, which worked really well.

Here are a few pics of the stencilling in action, along with some of the finished pieces. I just love seeing that blank piece of felt come to life! 😍

And, of course, the stencilling was only the beginning… next came the embellishing! 🧵✂️✨

More 3D Flower Blooms… and lots of laughter! 🌸💕

One of the things I love most about teaching is seeing groups of friends come along and spend time creating and stitching together. And the lovely group in these photos certainly knows how to have fun! 😂

There was plenty of chatting, laughing, stitching and, of course, lots more gorgeous 3D Flower Blooms coming to life. 🌸

It really is wonderful to see how a day of stitching brings people together, sharing ideas, helping each other, choosing colours and enjoying the whole creative process.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and joined in the fun today. I loved spending the day with you all and watching your beautiful flowers bloom! 🌺🌼🌸

What a fabulous way to spend a day, good friends, lots of laughter and a little stitching thrown in! 💕
