I’ve been sitting on this one for a while. Called ‘ Two for a puzzle’ it’s part of a new run at a new palette. With two figures. Always good to find some combinations I would not have used. And some interesting collage as well. painting

Finished at last. Called ‘The Corridor’ it’s a good example how the little things are important. Particularly when I’m using my collage pieces. 82x82cmms. Oil and collage on linen. It’s one of three new ones.

A working piece. Not finished, but could be soon. New palette (again he he ) moving the figure on too. Something to do with a corridor. Gotta get a name.

ACCEPTED: shortlisted in the Lethbridge small painting award. This small piece was created after a wonderful journey to Egypt. It’s part of a series of paintings on the Gods of Ancient Egypt. Oil on linen with collage

SOLD! Another one! (what a good month.) Called 'Picking him up in the Afternoon.' this is another refreshed painting. The painting fits into my modernist notions of figures too. Oil on linen it's going into a lovely modern home. nice bit of sunlight too.

SOLD. Refreshed and renamed, ‘After the Day is Done’ this painting has been tinkered with for a couple of years. It’s a bit like selling your friend but it’s going to a terrific house. I’ll miss it, but I’m allowed back to say hi. He he

SOLD. Called ‘The Document’ this refreshed piece from an earlier version. New colours, new construction, new name. Adititionally, I’m having to move from my studio to a new one. Good time to look over my stuff. There’s studio prices for the next few weeks. #

A refreshment. Returning to a recent painting called ‘Evening in the street’ I’ve rebuilt the figure, set new colour, and moved composition. It’s give this piece a new life. It’s a good lesson learned. # constructivist painting australiangalleries
