Citizen Theatre Citizen Theatre has been thrilling Melbourne audiences since 2013 Citizen Theatre is a leading independent theatre company started in 2013.

We take an intersectional-feminist, multidisciplinary approach to making innovative, socially conscious, critically acclaimed performance work. Citizen Theatre brings together provocative new writing, striking design, attention to musicality and physical expression to create rhythmic, visceral, evocative experiences for audiences. We are professional artists from a range of backgrounds, some PoC, LGBTQI+, majority female-identifying.
