The Drawing Salon Boutique-style Fashion Illustration classes held live online, and taught by Fashion Illustrator Angie Réhe.

Launched during the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival in 2010, Fashion Illustration Masterclass is boutique-style Fashion Illustration classes taught by Fashion Illustrator / creator of the Patsyfox.com illustrated blog / RMIT lecturer Angie Réhe. There are classes to suit absolute beginners through to skilled illustrators, with the most exciting addition being the live online classes. I am a ful

ly qualified teacher with over 20yrs teaching experience, and I teach because I love it. Teaching in my own small classes is by far my best teaching experience because I am able to conduct the classes at the high levels I think all teaching should be at. Classes are a fraction of the size of university classes, and a fraction of the cost. Additionally you know exactly who is going to teach you, because it's me! The live online mode has been a huge surprise to me, allowing for an intimacy that isn't possible even in face-to-face classes. From here it’s my favourite time of year, that sacred space between Christmas and New Year, my time for solitude, DIY and art. Heaven!

I’ve absolutely loved reconnecting with Drawing Salon students past and present this year, and can’t wait for what’s to come in 2026, it’s off with a gallop!

Rescheduled! Coming up on Sunday October 26th, the Ink & Watercolour workshop.

This is the last in-person class for 2025, and there are just four places left.

It will be a very creative day learning techniques for both media that apply to all art styles, then trying them out on a series of fashion illustrations.

It will be busy but there’ll be plenty of chocolate to get you through 🤓

The new round of Chocolate Box / Creative Fashion Illustration LIVE online 4-week course starts this Thursday, and there are just 2 spots left.
This is the only time in 2025 that these classes will run so it's a great time to jump in.

I've been saving up ideas for this course and my only problem is choosing which ones we do this time. We have people joining from Melbourne, Sydney, Queensland and different parts of the US, so I'm extra excited.

There are a few new bonuses this time that are pretty great:

For those in different time zones, you of course have the class recordings to watch, but you can also have a short private zoom feedback session each week so you absolutely get the full experience. If you're in Oz but can't make it to class that night, the same thing applies.

Additionally the class recordings will be available for one full year.

And finally, single session purchases are now available, just follow the instructions on the website class page for the checkout code.

The focus on this set of Chocolate Box classes will be on the duality of improving figure drawing core skills, and also bringing spontaneity and free creativity into your artwork for freshness and the true essence of fashion illustration. This will be applied across all of the exercises we do in the 4 weeks. Some of it will be messy and it will be a lot of fun. My own art practice goes beyond fashion illustration and I'll be bringing some of that experimentation and techniques into these classes.
