I just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who came out last night. We all hope you enjoyed the show!
Shows like this aren't possible without an amazing set of people to help run and support it. A big shout out to (in no particular order):

Alia is a professional Belly Dancer, and has worked all over the world, especially in Egypt, where she earned her Performer’s License there. While in Egypt, she had the unique experience of being the only foreign dancer to have performed for President Mubarak.

She has had almost 30 years of dance and teaching experience and brings a wealth of information. Alia performs both in the cabaret and folkloric styles. She is especially interested in teaching Belly Dance for women’s health, and has taught workshops around Australia and overseas, including WAMED and the Tasmanian Middle Eastern Dance Festival. This year, she has created The Raqazar Project which brings together Middle Eastern Dancers through a dancers market, workshops and haflas.

Briohny May and A Tribal Mantle

Briohny cultivates her own unique bellydance style grounded in over 10 years of training and performance in Middle Eastern, American Tribal Style®, Tribal Fusion and West African dance. She draws together the tradition, joy and flamboyance of African and European folkloric -based dance styles with the eclectic blend that is Tribal Fusion.

From 2005 Briohny was fortunate to be immersed in a range of dance styles at the Underbelly dance school, studying for many years in belly dance, Tribal, West African and Dancehall. Since 2009 Briohny has focused on tribal fusion and American Tribal Style® bellydance; studying in Australia and abroad with the most sought after teachers in the genres, completing ATS® Teacher Training in 2015.

Briohny shares her love of these dance forms through regular performance with her troupes, A Tribal Mantle and the Vivid Sisters, and as a teacher of fusion bellydance and ATS® as a FatChanceBellyDance® Sister Studio.

A Tribal Mantle is a tribal bellydance collaboration featuring multidisciplined dancers and artists known for out-of-the-box and energizing performances. The group takes inspiration from tribal dancing heritage to create expressions of freedom, power and joy.
