What is the actual point? Apparently the roads out here in the 'burbs are getting widened. So far, this road has been blocked off for a month to do one side. They have just swapped sides. The gain? The width of a standard tire. So, less than 30cm. Why bother? Surely they could safely double that with almost the same amount of effort?

I saw the most wholesome thing on the train today. Coming home from the city, it's pretty packed. Not quite sardine level, but getting there. A man and his assistance dog were on the train. I know this because the quite elderly pupper was wearing a little vest. It comes time for them to get off the train so the pair of them meander to the door. The door opens and there's quite a large gap between the door and the platform. Dog Looks at his Assistance Person. His Assistance Person immediately shifts into Assistance Mode, picks up the pupper and carries him across the gap. Puts him down, dog gives him another Look, wags his tail and they wander off. I think the wrong part of this duo was wearing the vest ;)
