I have always been drawn to writing about real life situations, both good and bad, and both my own and others I write original pieces of poetry, short verses and rhymes/short songs for my 2 babies - who are the inspiration for many of my poetry pieces. I started writing poetry at 9 years old and it became my passion. I have always been drawn to writing about real life situations, both good and bad, and both my own and others - mostly those in my life. Over the years I've won competitions, had multiple books published then focused more on social media platforms, but my inspiration for my poetry always stayed the same... My purpose is to try and help even just one person not feel so sad or isolated or whatever emotion it is through the original poetry I write. I took a little break though in 2018 because I had to focus my life on... Becoming a mumma! I'm the proud mother of a beautiful little girl and she's honestly the strongest, most amazing girl I know. She's happy and energetic all the time but she also has to cope with the struggles of having Autism. This is one subject I plan to give awareness to, for those who are living the same life with all its ups and downs but also for myself, as writing is my biggest and greatest outlet. I have written many poems about mental health struggles from my own personal experiences with it as well as many poems focusing on social issues such as racism, discrimination, low income family situations and family/domestic violence. FYI I do write quirky, light hearted, entertaining poetry as well, but I really aim to help others through my subject matter or the enjoyment of my poetry. I post original pieces of written word poetry on here, now I'm posting more regularly. I also digitally create images and videos with quotes, inspirational words and of course the occasional picture of my daughter who is known as Princess JBoo and my family.
