We’re pleased to welcome a new artist to our RollieX gallery for the month of October, Shev Tan. Shev is an artist and graphic designer born in Singapore, based in Melbourne and Sydney. Shev’s art is heavily influenced by her own journey of identity and belonging, using a restrained colour palette, bold shapes and caricatures as a way to find connection with her audience.

We sat down with Shev at RollieX to talk about growing up between two cultures, her painting technique and why art doesn’t always have to ‘make sense’.

Jesse Boykins III is an LA-based, Grammy-nominated R&B artist, songwriter and producer. His process has always been about finding incredible people and breathing life into them, giving them room to grow into who they’re meant to be.

This October marks the release of Rollie’s limited-edition collaboration with Jesse: our classic Derby Step (with Vibram® outsole) and new Kumo sneaker, launching at LA for their 10th anniversary.

We’re in conversation today with Caitlyn Iskra: the artist, designer and founder of Horni Nails, which is so much more than a nail studio. Caitlyn has created something truly unique in the heart of Melbourne.

As part of our Block Party campaign, we spoke to Caitlyn on all things colour, chromotherapy and her creative outlet, Horni.

“Colour is a relationship first and foremost. It’s kind of like understanding a language that only you know. It can make you feel alive, it can make you feel inspired, it can make you feel excited, it can make you feel comfortable. And that is a language that I’m always going to prioritise trying to understand.”
