Circle in the Sand is dedicated to exploring the purest and most immediate creative approaches to live theatrical storytelling. It is built on the principle of theatre's fundamental origins: a tribal elder or shaman quite literally drawing a circle in the sand - to define the world of the story - and then drawing his audience into that world using nothing more than voice and body to capture their

imagination. Circle in the Sand will peel its productions back to the essential roots of storytelling, and defiantly strip them of any and all redundant artifice.
