Starliite Productions provided the lighting equipment for Lighting Designer Guy Carrison from Theatrical Events for Brighton Grammar's Production of Rock of Ages: Teen Edition, the senior school musical with Brighton Grammar & Firbank Grammar.

The show had a real rock concert feel, with strong beams, colourful washes, and huge spark waterfall moments that made a big impact on the audience.

Guy Carrison said:

“I was able to get lots of different looks out of the Eventec Australia Event Lighting HAVOCB120 using the diffusion flag and the prisms. The 18 wash movers gave me the rock concert style lighting this show needed. And the Sparks that created a waterfall effect had a huge impact on the audience every time they were fired.”

A big congratulations to everyone involved in the production. The cast, crew, creative team, and lighting team brought amazing energy to the stage.

Chookas to the outstanding cast, crew and creative team at Caulfield Grammar School for tonight’s opening night of Beauty and the Beast! Months of rehearsals, late nights, set builds, programming, focusing and countless hours behind the scenes have all led to this moment — and we know audiences are in for something truly magical.

From the enchantment of the castle to the energy of the big production numbers, it has been an absolute pleasure to bring the lighting and sound to life for this spectacular show.

A huge thank you to the staff, students, production team and everyone backstage whose dedication and passion have transformed this beloved story into a memorable stage experience. We’re incredibly proud to have been part of the journey.

If you haven’t caught Windmill Theatre Company Inc. production of Frozen Jr. yet, you’re missing out. The cast and crew have put together a massive show, and the talent on stage is incredible.

We’ve had a great time working with the Windmill team to provide the lighting and audio for this one. The whole production looks and sounds fantastic—definitely worth a look if you’re looking for something to do this weekend.

Midsumma Festival 2026 season of RENT, produced by St Michael's Grammar School

As the major production partner, Starlite Productions was tasked with a unique creative challenge: translating a "memory play" into a technical reality. Our Lighting and Sound Design didn't just support the performance; it acted as the lens through which the story was told—fragmented, subjective, and deeply personal.

By blurring the lines between live action and curated memory, we helped bring Mark’s vision to life, exploring the "unseen spaces" between the moments we choose to remember.

“How do you document real life, when real life’s getting more like fiction each day?”
