The Hazara Cultural Association stands in solidarity with the Nepalese community following the devastating floods and landslides.

HCA President Barat Ali Batoor and Vice President Zakia Batool joined the community at a vigil at Cardinia Cultural Centre, honouring those who lost their lives and standing with families affected by this tragedy.

Our thoughts and solidarity are with the people of Nepal and the Nepali community in Australia. ❤️

To step up and address this tragic issue on such short notice means an immense amount to our community. Senator Shoebridge, we deeply value your enduring friendship and your unwavering willingness to stand in solidarity with the Hazara people whenever there is a need. Thank you for ensuring our voices are heard on the international stage.

On Monday 17 August, a cruel gr***de attack targeted innocent Hazara students at a school in Kabul. Around 50 children—mostly young girls between 9 and 14 years old—were hurt in the blast as they were leaving their classrooms.

A school must be a safe place to learn and dream, not a place of fear and violence. This is part of a deeply shocking and ongoing pattern of violence targeting the Hazara people. We cannot stay silent.

The Hazara Cultural Association Inc. is calling on the Australian Government to openly speak out, demand a clear investigation, and take real steps to protect Hazara people in Afghanistan.

Annual General Meeting 2026 - HCA

On Sunday, 16 August 2026, members of the Hazara Cultural Association came together for our Annual General Meeting in Dandenong.

With 29 members in attendance, the AGM provided an important opportunity to reflect on the Association’s work over the past year, recognise the contribution of our volunteers, discuss key community matters, and elect the incoming committee.

We sincerely thank everyone who attended, participated in the discussions, nominated for positions, voted, and contributed to this important democratic process.

Congratulations and best wishes to the newly elected committee. We look forward to another year of community service, advocacy, cultural preservation and cooperation.

We also extend our sincere thanks to Kateb Offices for supporting the local community and generously providing the boardroom for the AGM.

Huge milestone! Our dedicated volunteers recently supported over 1,500 community members in completing their 2026 Census forms.

For many, this was their first time participating in the Census in Australia. We are proud to have assisted individuals from across the Hazara community, alongside those from Tajik, Afghan, and Iraqi Arab backgrounds.

Thank you to all our volunteers for ensuring our communities are counted, and a special shoutout to Kateb Offices for providing the venue and workspace!

عبدل احمد فدایی تن به خاک داد، نام اش جاویدانه شد و مهر اش در دل هزاره های شهر دندینانگ ابدی گردید. او به خود آگاهی رسیده بود و به ابراز هویت خویش افتخار میکرد. وی جز نخستین کسانی بود که برای برداشتن تصویر شتر ها و تغیر نام تحمیلی افغان بازار با خلوص نیت سعی و تلاش کرد. عبدل احمد فدایی ثابت کرد که برای درک مظلومیت هزاره ها، نیاز به تحصیلات عالی و مطالعه صد ها جلد کتاب نیست. بلکه وضعیت اقتصادی ، سیاسی، فرهنگی و اجتماعی هزاره ها در عصر معاصر ، بهترین گواه بر اعمال بی عدالتی تاریخی در مقابل هزاره هاست.
عروج ملکوتی عبدل احمد فدایی را با اندوه فراوان و از صمیم قلب برای بازماندگان مرحوم و ‌جامعه هزاره تسلیت عرض میکنیم.
