🌼MADE TO ORDER WALLFLOWERS🌼

Thank you so much for all of your wallflower orders that have been flowing in. I have been moving extra quickly (but sadly not as fast as time lapse speed- if only! lol) to get all of your orders completed and delivered.

The wallflowers are one of my favourite things to make at the moment and I am dreaming about a WHOLE WALL of them.. wouldn’t that be just magical!? (If you are also dreaming of this plz let me know maybe we can make it happen!?)

I have select wallflowers permanently available as a made-to-order product on my website but I will have some new one-off wall flowers ready to share with you soon as well!

Thank you thank you thank you 🙏🏽 I am forever grateful that I get to call ceramics my job! It’s a hard job but geez I love it! 🥰

KUNJI LAMPS 🐑- The process.

At the start of this year and contacted me with a very cool project and a prompt to make a unique piece for the home utilising ‘s premium natural sheepskin product.

There was (as always) a little trial and error in figuring out how to seamlessly combine floofy sheepskin with ceramic AND also make it be a functional lighting piece that was still cool AND chic, but I got there in the end!

Here’s some insight into how I made the Kunji lamps because absolutely everyone has been asking! I hope you enjoy this very little snippet into a solid couple of months of development.

The original Kunji lamps sold right away but I have made them available as a made to order piece- because everyone has asked for it!

Today is the very last day to experience the sheepskin suite at the convent as part of Design Week 2026.

Thank you to everyone who has visited and cuddled up to the Kunji Lamps so far! Your enthusiastic feedback has been so wonderful! 🥹🥹✨✨

SYNTHESIS by Studio Shields

Today is the very last chance to be immersed in the magic that is .mdw

Synthesis is an immersive interior installation curated by Ruby Shields .shields featuring over 40 artists, designers & makers.

Set within the Bishop’s Parlour at Abbotsford Convent, Synthesis explores how we live with design. Colour, material, light and scent held together, not in isolation, but in relationship.

It has been an absolute pleasure and honour to be a part of this incredible group show. Ruby is such a natural born creative, a total breath of fresh air and she has worked so hard to make her vision come to life- and come to life it has!

Ruby you are wonderful, I feel very lucky to be in your orbit 💫✨

You can experience Synthesis for the last time today until 5.30- if you haven’t been yet- I dare you to clear your schedule for the afternoon and go for a bit stroll through the convent and take a moment to visit Synthesis before it’s too late.

THE MAKING OF ‘PANAS’ VASE
for Danielle Brustman’s SuperHot Shop ❤️‍🔥

Panas means hot in Bahasa Indonesian. The Panas Vase features a red hot Nerikomi blend of hand stained clay finished with Gold Lustered flames that appear to be engulfing the vessel whole. The use of flames in my work pays homage to the central importance of fire in Balinese culture, where it symbolises purification, transformation, and a connection between the human and spiritual realms.

And if you’re new around here, Hi I’m Tantri. I am an Australian born Balinese, Russian and German woman (I know! There’s a bit going on!). I make my ceramic artworks as a portal to better understanding who I am, to process stored memories and to get in touch with my layered heritage. I am extremely proud of this new piece that I created for Melbourne Design Week. The icing on the cake for me was when my dad recently showed up at my studio whilst this vase was on my bench and he said as soon as he spotted it “Oh wow- So Balinese” 🥹🤣

You can view and purchase Panas Vase in person at ‘s SuperHot Shop for Design Week 2026.

The SuperHot Shop will be open to the public from May 15th - May 25th located at the rear of 47 Easey st Collingwood.

At the start of this year Ruby Shields, Principal of .shields invited me to take part in her MDW26 group show, Synthesis.

It was an immediate hard YES from me and following that Ruby prompted me to make some pieces that drew reference from the original lead light windows situated in the foyer of the Bishop’s Parlour at Abbotsford Convent.

As always in ceramics there were some mishaps and fails. However, I persisted and ‘Big Jasper’ and ‘Lattice Vase’ came to be.

Although the designs started off with a very specific visual prompt, these pieces hold much more than just aesthetic expression.

This pair of vessels share a common form, whilst holding their own distinct presence, exploring the different modes we perpetually shift between within ourselves.

Together, the works reflect on the physical and emotional rhythms of expansion and contraction. The undulating lattice design is a physical interpretation of the feeling known all too well by many. The feeling of being stretched and under pressure- then in contrast the feeling of relief that can come so quickly when the pressure is finally released. Only to shift back again in time to come.

These works serve as a gentle reminder back to the self that although tension and release are opposing states, they are both necessary parts of the continuous motion of life.

These vessels hold that motion.

You can see these pieces up close at .mdw at throughout the duration of Design Week.

Come and celebrate Synthesis and Ruby’s immaculate re-imagination of the Bishops Parlour this Saturday night at 6pm ✨🥂

At its core, Synthesis is about collective authorship. This isn’t about objects on plinths. It’s about what happens when everything comes together. Many voices, one interior language.

I am extremely proud to be presenting two brand new works- both created especially for Synthesis.

Join us at the Abbotsford Convent for opening night ~ 16th May 6pm.

The opening event is free however registrations are necessary. Register via the link in the instagram bio 😗🥂💫
