There was a lot of look development on Rippy.

The original version was based on the animatronic puppet but once the puppet crew spat the dummy and refused to show up on set we had the freedom to go full digital and create something a bit more realistic.

An early version top left - before the trauma, so cute! The droopy muzzle, top right was influenced by Roger, although our roo was built entirely from reference of Kangaroo Jack, bottom right, from Crocodile Encounter in Qld (you can find him on IG and Tiktok - ).

Initially the bar scene in Rippy was supposed to have the lights out and be very atmospheric. Due to the schedule they didn't have time for multiple light set ups so they went with all lights on - then almost a year later they turned the lights off in post.
