Right now, La Mama Theatre needs our help. This year, after 50 continuous years of funding the Australia Council has terminated La Mama’s multi-year funding. This comes as a huge and unexpected blow at a time where our industry is most vulnerable.

It goes without saying how important La Mama is to the artistic community. It is a hub of creativity and one of the most crucial incubators for new Australian Theatre.

I know that I am not alone is saying that had it not been for La Mama’s support of my work and ideas in their infancy, I would not have achieved so many of the things that I have today.

La Mama will survive, but only if our community rallies together.
There’s a link in my bio to an impact survey prepared by La Mama. It takes 4 minutes to complete, and the data collected will be used to form a petition which will be delivered to the government.
