We went to see Shakespeare's Best Bits on a cool day in December. We hired low chairs like beach chairs for $5 each and had taken a couple of quilts and an esky with drinks and food. Our Shakespeare team are taking the night off on Sunday so that John Wood, Michele Forbes and the Low Down Big Band can have the Under the Stars Stage in the Royal Botanic Gardens Vic. This night of jazz hits from the Great American Song Book, such as 'Baby it's Cold Outside' (Romeo's favorite), 'Too Darn Hot' (Witches from Macbeth's fav) and 'Stepping Out With My Baby' (most played on King Lear's iTunes). Caution – There are Snakes in the Botanical Gardens! A group of 6 Python creatures (of the Monty kind) are capable of injecting lethal laughter and if they don’t murder you with mirth there is even a giant Asp that will be let loose on you after it demolishes Cleopatra.
