🎬Lilah Benetti first encountered Sidney Poitier’s autobiography when they were 11 years old. They were too young to fully understand it, but old enough to recognise the quiet power of someone who had made a path where none existed.

Now, as Assistant Director on Retrograde, they reflect on their evolving relationship with the play, learning from Director Bert Labonté, and the things they wish they had known earlier in their career.
