Jump Left

Jump Left Jump Left is an arts enterprise working at the intersection of art and disability.
(1)

Located at Donkey Wheel House in Naarm/Melbourne, we build projects and possibilities with artists and creative partners. We know the arts and have successfully worked at the intersection of art and disability for over 15 years. During this time, we recognised a growing need for disabled, neurodivergent, intellectually and learning disabled artists to access more progressive professional services

that support them to bring their creative projects to life, advance their artistic endeavours, increase visibility and link artists and their work with global audiences. We also identified demand for more professional, supportive, online and in-person spaces for people with disabilities to connect. These frameworks are especially critical for artists who require additional support to access resources, communicate and express their ideas. In 2024, we formed Jump Left [Art.Co.Lab] in Naarm, Melbourne, as a leading arts and disability enterprise to empower artists, cultivate creative projects and champion inclusive arts practice. We develop experimental, promotional, commercial and experiential opportunities for artists to access and co-create with peers, studios and partners as one-off, medium and longer-term undertakings. We are also a resource for audiences to learn more about this niche contemporary art field at the intersection of art and disability.

✨We dropped off a selection of works for artists to today for the Linden Postcard Show — and honestly? Feels like we’re sending something special out into the world. 🖼️✨

We are grateful to be part of this year’s show as a social partner — Linden is such a fabulous home for accessible, original art, and the Postcard Show is genuinely one of our favourite events on the Melbourne arts calendar.

Linden Postcard Show opens 6 June — if you’re in Melbourne, pop it in the diary. There’s something for everyone. 👀

🕺🏼Opening today! Saturday 9 May, 2-4 pm.

Jump Left presents the exciting work of two artists - Robert Croft and Cam Michael, in two vibrant new solo exhibitions.

These solos showcase the inspired practice of two distinctive artists from Geelong and Canberra respectively.

Robert Croft, presented with the support of ArtGusto (Geelong), works with texture and colour to create drawings that reflect his intuitive and rhythmic approach to art making. His works are immediate and expressive, inviting viewers into a visual world entirely his own.

Also presented is Cam Michael, a multidisciplinary artist based in Canberra. For his solo exhibition MOMENTS, Cam presents a recent series of luminous, considered, and quietly powerful glass and mixed media works.

This initiative is supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria, ArtGusto, and venue partner Impact Neighbourhoods.

Colour is coming to Jump Left. ✨

We’re thrilled to present two solo exhibitions opening Saturday 9 May — a recent body of work by Robert Croft and MOMENTS by Cam Michael, the first in our new Artist Solo series.

Robert Croft’s large-scale abstract drawings pulse with colour and rhythm — an entirely distinctive visual language developed across years of dedicated practice. Based in Geelong and working from ArtGusto’s supported studio, Robert communicates through markmaking, colour and process in a way that is completely, unmistakably his own.

Cam Michael’s tender, luminous glass and mixed media works bring familiar domestic objects into quiet, contemplative focus — slowing down time.

Two artists. Two worlds. One fabulous opening.
