オーストラリア・メルボルンから、地震の被災地である熊本を応援したいという想いを持つ人たちが集まり、「今、自分たちにできること」を考え、支援の輪を広げるため、このチャリティイベントを企画しました。
海外から日本へ寄付する際は、日本語での手続きや決済方法の違いなどから、支援したい気持ちがあっても一歩を踏み出しにくいことがあります。
そのため、イベントでは熊本の現状や復興への取り組みをご紹介するとともに、海外からでも利用しやすい寄付先や支援方法をご案内します。
また、会場でも募金を受け付け、皆さまの想いを熊本へ届けます。
「支援したいけれど、何をすればいいかわからない」という方の最初の一歩を後押しし、メルボルンから熊本への支援の輪を広げていきたいと考えています。
当日お預かりした支援金は、認定NPO法人「ジャパン・プラットフォーム（JPF）」へ寄付いたします。
ジャパン・プラットフォームは、国内外の災害や人道危機に対し、NGO・企業・政府が連携して迅速な支援を行う日本の緊急人道支援組織です。熊本地震でも加盟NGOが被災地で支援活動を行い、避難生活の支援や物資の提供、復旧・復興支援などを実施しています。

We have organised this charity event to support those affected by the recent earthquakes in Kumamoto, Japan and to encourage support from Melbourne.
For many people living overseas, donating to Japan can be difficult due to language barriers and different payment systems. At the event, we will share updates on the recovery efforts, introduce simple ways to donate from overseas, and accept donations at the venue.
We hope this event will encourage those who want to help but are unsure where to start, and inspire more people to support Kumamoto.
All donations collected at the event will be donated to Japan Platform (JPF), a certified Japanese non-profit organisation supporting relief and recovery efforts in Kumamoto.
