Do not miss this SECOND opportunity to hone your skills with one of Melbourne's great dramatic talents.

I am absolutely delighted to announce after a successful course through August and September I am offering another 6 week course late October through to late November in Unlocking Shakespeare's Text for Performance.

I have a real love of Shakespeare and honed my skills in New York City over a decade. Now I'm back in Melbourne and wanting to pass that knowledge onto you. If you want to add depth to your performances of Shakespeare's text this class is for you.

But this isn't like other classes where you may walk away with one finely tuned monologue you can take into auditions but rather a deep exploration of text clues throughout his plays that Shakespeare has woven into his work so you can have confidence to perform any role in any Shakespeare play.

PlaySix audition bookings close 6:00 pm tomorrow!

AUDITIONS – PLAYSIX short play festival 2025

General auditions for the season will be held on Saturday September 6th at the MC Showroom in Prahran between 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Candidates will need to prepare a short (2 min maximum) monologue of their choice and will also be required to read an extract from one of the plays. To secure a booking, please send your headshot plus a brief CV to [email protected].

PlaySix, the longest-running festival of its kind in Australia, is principally a service to the writing community and there is no remuneration for participants at any level of involvement.

The Festival will be staged at the MC Showroom from November 26-29.
