Deb Webb Art

Deb Webb Art I love all things art. Art for me is necessary to life and to how we express ourselves. I love creating, all things art. Deb x

Art brings me so much joy and helps me to express myself. I love experimenting and finding new ways to art. I produce colourful works which have been inspired by my South African upbringing. With this page, I hope to inspire, bring joy and keep learning. I'd love for all artists to unite in bringing more beauty and colour into the world and to support each other during this time. I have art works

for sale, so please browse and click on the shop buttons or visit my website for more. I accept bank deposit, paypal and COD.(local only) for all original works. I can also work out a payment plan if you need it. Here is where you can see all I offer, art wise:

This painting was great fun to do. I have been loving pan pastels again.
I think I'm going to do some pan pastel perfecting for a few weeks. It's truly very satisfying.
This is about A4 size.

Sent off my entries into the Incognito Art Show. I had so much fun creating for this.

This art show relies on artists donating 3 small art works that they sell to raise funds for the support of emerging artists within the community.

I've been participating for about 6 years now - it's great fun and a way to give back πŸ˜ŠπŸ’•

Search them up and find out how you can get original art at a great price. It's Sydney based, but does open to online after the weekend of the show.
Follow them to keep up to date.

How do you paint freely?

Remove outcomes,
Remove judgement
and decide on your colour palette, that's all.

It's definitely harder than you think.. This is why I really enjoy creating in art Journals- there is a place to record your experiments and your development.

The more you create, the more you realise what looks good and what doesn't.
Do not be afraid of making ugly art! These are your learnings. πŸ™‚

Creating lifts your soul to such heights!
Think about what always lifted you up when you were younger...

For me, music was always my first love. I learned piano and guitar. Later I went on to teach guitar to others.
I was always singing and composing.
So lately my voice went wonky, and is still a bit fragile. (Working on it)

It served as a reminder to return to this.

I've been enjoying combining sketches into inspiration- often inspired by bits from a magazine!
Such a cool process.

I'm not sure where this will go, but it doesn't have to go anywhere- the pure enjoyment is all my soul really needs.

My job here on this earth is to shine, share love and joy.
Sometimes it's difficult, but that's part of the journey of learning and developing.

Wow, this last week was something else! A whole other level of grief popped up... 😬
I allowed my soul to open up and feel, changes occurred .

I'm feeling more even now, certainly today πŸ™‚
Some decisions have been made, staying in pure alignment with myself.
Changes for myself are coming and I'm going to embrace them with gentleness and slowly.

One constant is always my art. It's so very healing.
Oh and also my humour. I amuse myself, so I'm never going to be without laughter!
Find your Joy. πŸ’•πŸ₯³

It's definitely not perfect, but it was done at a time of intense mental challenges. I'm still going through some stuff but on the outside, it's not seen.

I find being present helps a lot. I think that's why when I work I feel better and when I create, I focus on what I'm doing and find joy in it.

Music has also been a great motivator.

I do believe that the energies that are around us at this time are pretty intense and making us face our truths, which can be so confronting!

Anyway, hope you are navigating your journey in a peaceful, loving way πŸ˜ŠπŸ’•πŸͺ·

Do you know I grew up hating patterns?
It may have had something to do with my eyes ( squint /long sighted)
I also struggle to see depth...
Patterns are usually busy and so confused me.

So, when I was getting into art, I worked on building backgrounds, layering stencils,
researching patterns in nature.

I'd say I've definitely embraced pattern now! πŸ˜‚
Now I really enjoy it, but can definitely admit when I may have gone overboard πŸ˜„

If a painting grabs you, it's meant for you, it has a message...

Today has been a day of introspection.
Journalling has taken place, realisations and self nurturing. Sometimes, you just need it. πŸ˜ŠπŸ’•

However, it's also been a time of singing and dancing. Dualities showing up again. 😊

Some of these paintings are on my website, if you're interested.

1 of the best things for mental health (Imo ) is collaging in a book.
You just need an old kids board book, papers/napkins to collage with
and some poscas.
Try for some private space, if you can-turn up the music, sing, move
and create.
Best feeling ever!!!! πŸ˜€πŸ₯³πŸ’•
This πŸ‘†πŸΌis how you bring light into the world. 🌟🌟🌟
