✨ Maho Magic Bar Melbourne 🍸

We recently visited Maho Magic Bar as a family of four with our tween and teen kids, and we had the best time. Tucked away just off Lonsdale Street at Spiegel Haus Melbourne, this hidden-gem venue feels magical before the show even begins.

We loved the Tokyo-inspired vibe, but you don’t need to be into Japanese culture to enjoy this experience. The close-up magic is the real star. From card tricks and rope illusions to fire tricks and surprise moments, the show kept us all completely engaged.

The kids were fully immersed in the show and were just as amazed as the adults. The mocktails were a great touch too and made the kids feel included in the full experience.

There are family-friendly matinee shows for ages 6+, but if you have older kids or teens, we highly recommend the evening sessions for 12+. Fun, interactive and full of laughs, this is a brilliant option for school holidays or a special family day/night out.

A brand new Timezone and Zone Bowling opens at Westfield Southland this weekend. 🎳 🎮

The new dual-branded venue features 19 full-length tenpin bowling lanes, a Laser Tag Arena, interactive AI Darts, ClawTime, a plushie lover’s paradise, over 80 arcade games, VR adventures and ColourGrid - a brand-new, high-energy, interactive floor challenge using pressure-responsive colour tiles.

🚀 LEGO® Star Wars: The Exhibition opens 4 May at Melbourne Museum, and it’s truly something special.

We were lucky to get an early look last night, and as massive Star Wars fans, we were blown away. This world-first exhibition brings together the magic of LEGO® and Star Wars under the creative eye of Ryan ‘Brickman’ McNaught.

Built right here in Melbourne using over 8 million bricks and taking 25,000+ hours, the detail is just phenomenal.

Our boys loved every minute, from building their own LEGO lightsabers to seeing iconic scenes reimagined in bricks. And the shop at the end? Full of rare LEGO finds that made our sons' day.

Whether you’re a lifelong fan or a curious padawan, this hands-on, immersive adventure is well worth it.

Perfect for families, this spectacular showcase includes Kusama’s famous infinity mirror rooms, giant polka-dotted pumpkins, and a kids-only interactive exhibition: Kusama for Kids.

TOP TIP: Book ahead. This exhibition is very popular; you might not get tickets on arrival. Kusama for Kids is free, but there is an entry fee for the main exhibition.
