**FLASH SALE**

Heather by Thomas Eccleshare.

If you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, does it make any more sense to judge a book by its author?

A reclusive children’s writer becomes wildly successful. Her books are treasured across the country. Her public are desperate to know just who is behind the stories. But as a troubling narrative begins to unfold and her constantly irrational excuses, readers begin to ask, what is she so afraid of?

Brilliantly imaginative and theatrically original, Heather by Thomas Eccleshare is a short, sharp play about language, prejudice and the power of stories.

Dates & Time: 17-22 October, 6:30pm
Venue: Meat Market Stables

What an absolutely STUNNING afternoon - I got to spend an utterly wonderful Sydney day having tea and cakes with the amazing team at Currency Press. It was such a joy to talk theatre, creativity and writing with such a dedicated and supportive group of people.

And then to see my work amongst writers I am in awe of, was just a wee bit mind blowing 🤯

They have arrived!!! The are actually here!!! Please buy them!!!

I am still a bit overwhelmed that The Anxiety Trilogy and My Wife Peggy have been published by Currency Press, a goal I have had ever since I typed up my first sentence and thought…”maybe I can write for the stage.”

I am beyond grateful to everyone at Currency Press and everyone who has helped develop and bring these works to stages across the country and beyond.

And you can catch two of these works, My Wife Peggy and Part 3 of the Anxiety Trilogy, Your Silence Will Not Protect You, at Flight Path Theatre THIS WEEK, as part of Sydney Fringe.

So grab a ticket to the show and buy the script after…..please buy them…there are so many 😳

Gavin Roach presents the Australian premiere of This Is Living by Liam Borrett.

Alice is cold, she's tired, and Michael won't stop telling her that she died twelve hours ago.

Alice and Michael met six years ago. Three years later their daughter Lily was born. Now, in a Yorkshire meadow, just past midnight, they're having an argument. Because Alice is cold, she's tired, and Michael won't stop telling her that she died twelve hours ago.

Dealing with themes of loss, grief and heartache, this intimate portrayal of a relationship forces us to examine our own lives, Liam Borrett’s script seamlessly weaves past and present together, switching without warning from comedy to tragedy and back again.

Praise for This Is Living by Liam Borrett:

'A modern urban ghost story about grief and loss... a gently affecting piece, full of compassion'
The Times

'Borrett's play balances on a tightrope between comedy and heartbreak... speckled with genuinely romantic and heart-wrenching moments'
A Younger Theatre

Gavin Roach presents the critically acclaimed Disco Pigs by Enda Walsh.

Pig & Runt speak in their own language, play by their own rules, and create a world for themselves.

Born at the same time on the same day in the same hospital, Pig and Runt have been inseparable ever since. They speak in their own language, play by their own rules, and create a world for themselves in which boundaries blur between truth and illusion.

But with the approach of their seventeenth year, and accompanying sexual awakenings and dawning awareness of love, and different kinds of love, Runt begins to wonder what might lie outside the world they have constructed for themselves and to yearn for her own individuality apart from Pig.

Praise for Disco Pigs by Enda Walsh:

"Offers timely insights into teenage alienation... impressive" - The Stage

"Poignantly funny, full of sound and movement, this electric two-hander is phenomenal" - Irish Sunday Times

Monday 17th – Saturday 22nd October, 8:00pm

Gavin Roach presents the Australian premiere of Pops by Charlie Josephine.

After all, this prodigal daughter needs a place to crash, break, and burn baby burn! But the apple doesn’t fall...

A warts-and-all work by q***r British playwright, Charlie Josephine, examines the DNA of a fractured father/daughter relationship fuelled by chronic depression, addiction, and social shame.

Needle-sharp, physically articulated, opera-fkn-radically punctuated with moments of movement that feel something like a Sarah Kane met up with Carol Churchill for a doof with the DJ from hell, with “tracks” so buckled, we can’t look away - till the crash.

Praise for Pops by Charlie Josephine:

★★★★☆ "Hits you like a train...” – The Stage.

★★★★☆ "Josephine is able to shake off the baggage of familiar, sensational depictions of what addiction does to families” - The Guardian.

★★★★☆ "artfully represents what is a constant and unending battle” - WhatsOnStage.

Your Silence Will Not Protect You opens at Flight Path Theatre in 11 days!

Do you remember the panic attack you had the first, and only, time you fi**ed someone? Gavin does. And it was hilarious.

Having tackled bullying and body image, language, and love, acclaimed q***r artist Gavin Roach has caved into demand and is finally offering up a more “happy” and “fun” show. This surely will not end well.

The third and final installment of The Anxiety Trilogy, Your Silence Will Not Protect You is a joyous and illuminating adventure about coming to terms with mental illness, navigating alcohol abuse and trying to figure out why the hell you didn’t say something sooner.
