When I became a first time Mum 13 months ago, I was deeply anxious that the "Firsts" within my career, were all behind me.
Yes I would 100% go back to working because that's what makes me most happy, I love what I do. But I didn't clearly see breaking ground, achieving new heights and trail blazing in-between sleepless nights as something achievable any more.
How magical it has been, to be wrong.

Earlier in the year I was the first Female Ground Announcer at an AFL match at the MCG.
And on Saturday I was the first Female On Field MC at an AFL Grand Final. How Cool!

I & many of my other female colleagues are just as able, it was more that it had just never been done. There was always one MC and it was usually someone who had done it before or came from Broadcast.
Not this time!
I got a Guernsey & I wore it with pure joy! (Metaphorically of course, I was obviously going to dress up for the occasion!)

Thank you to Greg Petherick & The AFL for their faith in me through out season 2022.
I love my job, I love the game of footy & I hope this working relationship continues for many moons to come.

Thank you to my partner Stephen Buhagiar, without whom I wouldn't have even been able to return to what I love.

The Australian Open is the largest sporting event, annually in Melbourne, Australia.

Making History! - Did you know there has never been a Female Ground Announcer at The MCG in the history of The AFL. . .

Tomorrow night, we change that!

I am so tingly with excitement to be your Ground Announcer for The Dreamtime at The G.

It almost doesn't make sense that it hasn't happened until now & I'm still processing that it's going to be me.
On top of that to be at one of the biggest game on the calendar during the Sir Doug Nicholls round is just really, stuff of dreams.

Thank you to those who got me here (CB I'm looking at you!) & Monny for being my hype girl today.
