Another Day, Another Assault: When will the Uniform stop fighting Against the Citizen?
Two LDEA officers have been caught on camera brutally assaulting a female suspect identified as Young Ma.
Yes, the woman was reportedly picked up in a ghetto. Yes, she was a suspect. But in the video, she did not resist arrest. She was not fighting back. Even if a woman resist arrest, these officers are trained professionals. Their job is to restrain, handcuff, and neutralize, not to beat, humiliate, or assault. That is exactly why they wear the uniform.

No officer, whether from the LDEA, Police, PCC, or even the AFL has the right to assault any citizen, male or female, under the excuse of law enforcement. The uniform does not grant ownership over human bodies.

But let we talk so and talk so, this video is disturbing not because it is new, but because it is caught on camera and the victim is a woman.. many people are outraged today because the victim is a woman. But how many times have men been slapped, kicked, beaten, or dragged by security forces with no outrage, no investigation, no justice? Those cases rarely trend. No videos, no hashtags, no consequences.

This case should not end with press statements and temporary suspensions. It should force a national conversation about unchecked power, routine brutality, and selective justice.

If justice means anything, Young Ma deserves it and so do the countless victims whose abuse never made it to social media. Those responsible must face real punishment, not just public embarrassment.

Until then, uniforms will continue to be used as shields for violence, not symbols of protection.
