Congratulations - Weave Movement Theatre and Trevor Dunn!

The work, **The Solos** has been nominated for the 42nd Annual Green Room Awards.

- Dance category: Breaking Ground Award for
Weave Movement Theatre

- Dance category: Outstanding Performer(s) for
Trevor Dunn

ImPermanence Productions and I would like to congratulate all the artists and mentors on the recognition of the work they have put into each solo piece—I also truly enjoyed every single work on every night across the season!

As the director Janice said, the project had been an ambitious undertaking for Weave, both artistically and logistically. However, each work was ultimately created in a deeply distinctive and personal way, shaped through collaboration with industry mentors whom the Weave members selected and worked with throughout the process.

I would like to thank all the artists and mentors—and equally importantly, all the production and technical staff. I am looking forward to seeing the possible future iterations of each work extended into full-length versions!

Congratulations!

The work, Animalising – Becoming Animal / Intense / Imperceptible has been nominated for the 42nd Annual Green Room Awards.

- Dance Category: Outstanding Design Sound for Reuben Lewis
- Dance Category: Outstanding Performer(s) for Agus Riyanto

ImPermanence Productions would like to thank Tony, Reuben, Jack, Mas Agus, and Adel for their bold, rigorous, and tireless artistic contributions.

This work was deeply visceral—undefinable and non-binary—a powerful challenge to the norms and forms of humanity that we carry in the contemporary world.

Our heartfelt thanks to Abbotsford Convent for hosting us and providing invaluable support. The Industrial School was the perfect match for the aesthetic and spirit of the work.

I have seen the work-in-progress of each piece created by Weave Movement Theatre's performers and the mentors of choice since March 2024. I have been working with them past 4 years, and seeing the solo work by each member with their diverse and distinctive aesthetics and medium of expressions are positively surprising, powerful and inspirational. Please come over to join one session or two to see their craft as soloists - six unique short works by six Weave members.

ABOUT
Building from their acclaimed 2023 production "Sense of Place", these powerful solo works stem from the individual stories spotlit during that season. Performers Riddell, David Baker, Emma Norton, Uncle Greg, Janice Florence and Trevor Dunn will come together in exciting partnerships with highly respected artists David Woods, Leesa Nash, Heaven, Cooper, Peter Fraser, Gorfinkel, Zya Luna, and Kang Wei to hone their craft as soloists, and bring six unique works to the stage.

“These are original pieces from people whose stories are universal, and stem from diverse minds, bodies, and experiences”, explains Weave Movement Theatre Artistic Director Janice Florence. “They spotlight the passions, quirks, memory, and heart of this group of solo artists with wild imagination, a sense of the absurd, and poetry of the ordinary.”
