Black Shadow Photography

Black Shadow Photography Photography that rocks! Richard Sharman is one of the leading music photographers in Australia.

Originally from country NSW, Richard first started out taking music photos in the dark and dingy pubs of inner-city Sydney in the 1980s due to his love of both music and photography. Richard decided to get serious about music photography in 2005 and since then his work has graced the pages of most Australian music publications, newspapers and numerous overseas magazines including Time Magazine (US

), Rolling Stone, The Age, Sydney Morning Herald and The Guardian (UK) as well as being featured on album artwork for musicians both local and international such as Rocket Science, SixFtHick and Jay Reatard (US). Richard still shoots the small shows but also shoots the major arena shows and festivals. Richard also does promotional photos for musicians as well as commercial portraits, events and weddings. Richard was the official photographer for the 2009 All Tomorrows Parties festival at Mt Buller and is the official photographer for Boogie Festival. Richard is based in Melbourne and services clients throughout Melbourne, Victoria and Australia.
