Today we celebrate dance not just as movement, but as language, memory, and connection.

Dance holds stories that words cannot explain. It carries culture, identity, and emotion across time and space.

And somehow, today feels even more special.
A beautiful coincidence that on International Dance Day, we also celebrate the birthday of our Director 🎉💖🥰

A reminder that the people who guide us, inspire us, and shape our journey are just as important as the art itself.

On this day, we celebrate dance… and those who dedicate their lives to it.

Today I stepped into a workshop alongside , diving into Huasteco Hidalguense.

Being a dancer means never staying still.
Constant training isn’t optional it’s part of who we are.

Because curiosity is what brought you here.
And without it, there’s no growth, no new ideas, no deeper understanding, no evolution, and I could keep going…

As a teacher, my role is to guide others, to explain not just how we move, but why.
But that starts with me.
I have to study, question, and experience it fully… until the knowledge becomes mine.

Because only then can I pass it on with honesty and intention.

Always a student first.

Take a minute. ✨

Be grateful for your body, not just for how it feels, but for everything it allows you to do.
For the strength in your muscles, the resilience in your system, the way it keeps showing its immense potential.

Be grateful for your mind, too.
For the days it stays strong, and even for the days it feels heavy but keeps going.
For the growth, the discipline, the courage it takes to keep learning, to keep dancing.

Be grateful for the people who support you inside and outside your dance circle.
For the opportunity to train, to learn, to grow.
For the time you carve out to do what you love.
For the space that holds you while you move, fall, and try again.

Because none of this is guaranteed.

So pause. Breathe. Take it in.
And don’t forget to say thank you for everything you already have.

When you decide to learn Mexican folk dance, you step into a world you never imagined. It begins with a few basic steps… and before you know it, you’re practicing everywhere, even in the most unexpected places.

Little by little, something shifts: you crave more. You start listening to the music, watching other dancers, feeling every rhythm a little deeper. And then, when you least expect it, you find yourself backstage, heart racing, waiting for your moment to step out and share it all.

Every journey is different, but one thing always remains the same: we all fall in love with this art.

To all our dancers, teachers, directors, musicians, producers, artists, creators and makers, Happy Mexican Folkloric Dance Day. 💃🇲🇽✨
