Southbank Theatre hosts an array of theatre, dance, and performance events across two performance spaces: the state-of-the-art 550 seat Sumner, and the 150 seat multi-purpose Lawler. It is the home of Melbourne Theatre Company and NEON NEXT, the Melbourne home of Sydney Dance Company, and has played host to an array of productions by local and international companies including Royal Shakespeare Company, Akram Khan Company, Chunky Move, Force Majeure and Arena Theatre Company.
