I feel very fortunate to have access to the amazing mind and coaching of Chris Egan through my work. Yesterday was a galvanising session on self-compassion, habits, purpose and meaning, which left me with so much fodder for personal and professional exploration. Feels like the perfect time to sink deep into ikigai ❤️🙏

Returning to work this morning with these on the table was a beautiful reminder not only of the amazing work our student wellbeing leaders did for our body kind week last term, but of the work that needs to be continued in schools to help our young people love and respect their bodies and those of others ❤️

Loved stopping to admire these incredible silos on the drive home yesterday. The power of public art to transform and connect community really is something else ❤️

Those that know me well, know of my crippling fear of heights - or falling, I’m not sure which one it is exactly. But then I birthed a fearless wild thing into this world and he made me determined not to pass any fear onto him. (He was also relentless in his pursuit of making me “see the world” and not taking no for an answer 🤣) Six years ago, when he was just 7, we climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge together, a small (though terrifyingly large) commitment to not just avoiding passing on fear to him but to finally face my own fears. Now climbing structures very high off the ground in different cities travelled is just a (still terrifying but now exhilarating) thing that reminds fear who is boss.

I love road trips. I could drive for days and days. Stopping on whim and curiosity, discovering new places. Eating breakfast on the beach. It’s corny as, but I always feel like I’m straight outta Jack Kerouac’s ‘On the Road’. It’s energising like nothing else ❤️

Just finished reading the amazing Atomic Habits by and feel much more conscious of my existing habits - the good, the bad and the ugly - and armed with some practical strategies that cultivate atomic habits that align with my identity (which, might I add, I love the ways habits are explored through the lens of identity in this book!). In reading this book, I also practiced the habit stacking strategy, now my most-loved daily habit of all - cycling 20km+ on the stationary bike and reading 😍❤️

Tonight, it was such a privilege to be able to present to Masters of Arts Management students enrolled in Museum Education to unpack how galleries and museums can use choice to empower, activate advocacy & social justice thinking, and amplify voices ❤️

I’ve been oh so quiet on socials over the past few months, despite life and work being anything but quiet. All of it bubbling away, sometimes overflowing, in the background. Could think of no better way to light the flame back up then sharing a beautiful moment from the Gallery Sketchers session I facilitated today - a session focused on drawing inspiration and creatively engaging and experimenting with what’s right in front of, and within, us. People and their stories truly are phenomenal, and making art from our shared experiences of being human, even more so ❤️😍
