GUEST ANNOUNCEMENT 🦇
This Thursday we welcome Ashley Taylor Tickell to the podcast to talk all things Stranger Sings The Musical Parody for our Season 3 Finale!
Ashley is the Owner, Producer and Artistic Director of Salty Theatre. She wears a lot of hats at any given time. With over 25 years of experience in professional theatre, her credits and work has been seen in Canada, the United States and Australia. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Ashley got her first taste of producing when she premiered her own cabaret “Heartache, Milkshakes and Broadway”, which was performed at the renowned cabaret venue Don’t Tell Mama in NYC. Following successful seasons of Salty Theatre’s productions of People Suck: A Musical Airing of Grievances and Top Gun! The Musical and before a sold-out season of Voldemort and the Teenage Hogwarts Musical Parody at Theatre Works, Ashley launched The Hatch Lab with co-founder Sarahlouise, to fill a gap in the new musical development and production market in Australia. Ashley connects with artists in Australia as a mentor, coach and dramaturg, to support and assist them in the development of new works both as writers and as independent producers, and works with creatives globally to debut their musicals in Australia. Ashley is committed to be an advocate for Women, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+. When Ashley isn’t working alongside incredible artists both in Australia and abroad to create theatre, she’s joyfully spending quality time with her two favourite people in the world, her husband Jeremiah and their son, Grant.
