ASH AND AURA 🔥

Ash And Aura is a painting of balance — a meditation on duality: stillness in the storm, light in the shadow.
It reflects the parts of us shaped by silence, darkness, and everything we’ve survived… and the light we still carry through it all.
Not everything that glows is loud.
Not everything that burns leaves ruin.
Some things only exist in the space between.

Black and white leaves no room to hide—it’s all about value, contrast, and precision.
Without the distraction of color, every shadow and highlight must speak with intention.
In this portrait, I focused on layering subtle mid-tones to build softness, while letting the darkest values anchor the emotion.

I remember how the morning light came through the blinds as I added the final glows of sun, like the piece itself was breathing.

Now it’s no longer here. It’s hanging in someone else’s space, carrying a piece of my heart with it. Funny how something you create with your own hands can become a part of someone else’s world—and all you’re left with are the memories, the palette stains, and the stillness after it’s gone.

𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗼𝘄, 𝗮 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲! 💕

Some bonds are too deep to be put into words, but art has a way of keeping them alive. Shadow’s portrait was one of my favorite commissions from last year—a heartfelt gift delivered just before Christmas, capturing a beloved companion forever on canvas. Every brushstroke was a tribute to his gentle soul and the joy he brought to those around him.

Moments may pass, but art allows us to hold onto them forever.

Varnishing is always bittersweet. It means letting go, knowing that what I’ve poured into this piece will no longer just belong to me. It’s a quiet goodbye, but also a quiet hope—that it will speak to someone else the way it once spoke to me.
