Got a Story to Tell? We Want It!

We are so excited to announce that submissions are officially open for our next Q-Lit anthology! We're looking for creative works with a special shout-out to our regionally-based folks.

What we’re looking for:
💚 Writing: Poetry, short fiction, essays, or scriptwriting (up to 2,500 words).
💚 Art: Drawings, graphic novels, comics, photography, or painting (please note: all submissions will be printed in black and white).
💚 Cover Art: We are also on the hunt for a cover image! Let us know in your email if you'd like your art to be considered for the cover.

The Details:
🧡 Compensation: All successful contributors will be paid a small fee for their work.
🧡 How to submit: Email your creative piece and a short bio (including your name, pronouns, and postcode) to [email protected].
🧡 Subject line: Anthology 2026 Submission
🧡 Deadline: Submissions close November 1st, 2026!

Space is limited, but please don't be shy, we absolutely want to see what you've been working on!

The award for Outstanding Contribution to the Arts goes to... Q-Lit's Executive Director and Co-Founder, Timothy Ryan! 💙🎉

Over the weekend, hosted their annual Victorian Pride Awards: a celebration that recognises excellence in Victoria’s LGBTQIA+ communities. Thank you to everyone who joined us at this years festival 💜 It was an amazing four days with with the most unique range of stories being shared. We're blessed to have such a wonderful community that is passionate about documenting, sharing and celebrating LGBTQIA+ stories.
