East Gippslanders, there's only two Orbost Writers Group catch-ups left this year! Don't miss your chance to join this passionate group of writers.
2pm - 4pm on the 11th October and 8th of November at the Orbost Arts Centre.
Here's some words from the facilitator, Bumpy Favell, on what the group gets up to...
🧡
We start off with prompts and writing exercises to get the thoughts flowing and tap into the subconscious - (hopefully!) Writers have produced entertaining, heartbreaking, strange, elegant and always unexpected pieces of writing so far.
After the prompts we read writers' pre-prepared longer pieces and everyone gives feedback. We have read from memoirs, one-act plays, film scripts, short stories and fan fic. There is a ton of talent in GunaiKurnai Country! Come along, get inspired and share your thoughts and your work. We get a lot of writing done each month, during the session.
The aim is to encourage writers to develop regular writing habits - and to connect q***r writers in this very conservative and often remote part of Victoria.
